Vince Amalfitano, founder of the Italy Abroad Program, stands in the lush greenery of Italy.

Meet Vince


My name is Vince Amalfitano and I am a graduate of California State University, Long Beach. My family is from the volcanic island of Ischia, found in the bay of Naples, and I am very passionate about my roots.  I speak Italian fluently and my travels have taken me throughout Italy summer after summer.  My study abroad experience in Florence opened up new horizons and made me want to share this incredible, life-changing experience.  I firmly believe that all students benefit immensely from their time overseas and its positive and inspiring impact help create a well-rounded, confident individual.  

After organizing and leading study abroad programs for my fellow classmates, my goal now is to combine my experience and creativity to design tailored programs and experiences. My expertise knowledge, experience and love for Italy will lead to unique study abroad experiences and it will be my pleasure to assist you on the journey of a lifetime.

    Our on-site staff will assist you with any questions or concerns and our professional tour guides will accompany you and your group whenever needed.

    Cultural Activities and Excursions

    Customize your itinerary and incorporate historic site visits and excursions to the area of study.  A well organized itinerary brings to life the study abroad experience!

    Group Meals

    What is a study abroad experience without a welcome and farewell dinner?  Additional meals can be organized as requested.

    Airport Transfers and Group Flights

    Once arriving in Italy, our airport transfer service will welcome your group and accompany you to the correct destination.  An airport transfer will also accompany you back for your departure from Italy.
