Florence is the capital of Tuscany and often referred to as the cradle of the Renaissance for its impact on art, culture, politics and history. This enchanting city of red rooftops is the birthplace of famous artists and literary figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dante and Macchiavelli, and is surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills and medieval towns.
